Dear Friends,
after more than 25 years we can now say that the mini-invasive surgery has now finally became mature.
We know well by now what are the appropriate indications, standardized techniques and issues related to them.
However the technological evolution does not stop!
In recent years several different approaches have been introduced to standard laparoscopic (notes, mono trocar) that after an initial enthusiasm have suffered a setback for various reasons.
As part of the mini-invasiveness it is understood that it may be important to reduce the caliber of instruments even more and today we are in a position to use a range of effective products with invasiveness even smaller than before.
In these two days we will evaluate the effectiveness and importance of these new instruments and possible clinical applications in relation to the costs/benefits.
Two days will be very intense and as always we will try to enjoy them with large interactive discussions in a friendly environment.
