It is my great pleasure to warmly invite you to the 59th Congress of the Italian Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (SIB) that will take place from the 20th to 22nd of September 2017 in Caserta at the Italian Air Force specialists School in collaboration with University of Campania “Luigi Vanvitelli”.
The SIB Congress is a major endeavour of SIB, featuring about 250 attendees and providing a platform for scientific exchanges at international level and for presenting the cutting edge researches in the field of biochemistry and related areas.
The Congress opening lecture will be given by the keynote speaker Prof. Kurt Wüthrich (Nobel Prize in Chemistry, 2002). Contributions from outstanding Italian and foreign scientists will be presented in 5 plenary symposia covering the emerging topics of biochemistry, including protein structure, dynamics and interactions, signals driving cell proliferation, commitment, and self-renewal, transcriptional regulation, chromatin structure and epigenetic modifications and industrial and molecular biotechnologies. The state-of-the art researches in mitochondrial bioenergetics, enzymology, nutritional and enviromental biochemistry and proteomics will be also presented in 4 parallel symposia.
Poster contributions will be chosen for oral Short talks in parallel Mini-symposia that will be organized together with a dedicated poster session.
SIB will encourage participation of a large number of young scientists by supporting costs for Congress participation at reduced registration fees.
